Who we are

This site is run by Schank Roofing, a family roofing, siding and gutter company working out of 1113 E Overland, Scottsbluff, Nebraska 69361. We hold Nebraska Contractor Registration 30526-25.

This policy covers schankroofing.com and everything we do with the information you give us when you contact us. If you would rather ask a person than read a policy, call (308) 632-6156 or email office@schankroofing.com.

What we collect

What you type into a form

• Your full name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• The address of the property you want us to look at
• Whether you are a homeowner or a business or property manager
• Whatever you write in the message box
• Whether you ticked the box asking us to text you, along with the exact wording you agreed to and the date and time you agreed to it

What your browser sends with it

Your IP address, the page you submitted from, the site that sent you to us if there was one, and the time. We also record a handful of signals that tell a real submission from an automated one, because this form was attacked in August 2026 and the office inbox filled with junk.

What you tell us later

What you say on the phone, in an email, in a text or at your property. Photographs of your roof, attic and property taken during an inspection or a job, which are what the photo report is made of.

We do not collect payment card details on this website, and we never ask for a social security number or bank login.

How we use it

• To reply to you and book a visit
• To inspect the property and produce your photo report, graded Good, Watch or Fix Now
• To quote the work, schedule it and carry it out
• To keep a record of the job, so a warranty question years later has an answer
• To text you about that work, but only if you asked us to. See section 4
• To keep the website working and keep automated junk out of the office inbox

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it. We do not hand it to anyone so they can market to you.

Text messages

Texting is optional and it is off unless you switch it on. Every form on this site has an SMS consent checkbox that starts unticked. If you leave it alone, we will not text you.

Who else sees it

A handful of companies handle your information because they run the tools we work in. They act on our instructions and they are not allowed to use your information for their own purposes.

Beyond that list, we share information only when the law requires it, such as a valid legal request, or with our insurer or lawyer if a claim is made about a job.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won't be shared with any third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people actually read. It tells us that eleven people read the roof cost page yesterday. It does not tell us who they were.

Nothing you type into a form is sent to Google Analytics. There are no advertising or retargeting tags on this site. If you would rather not be counted at all, any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics will work, and the site behaves exactly the same.

How long we keep it

Job records, including the photo report, stay with us for as long as the workmanship and manufacturer warranties could matter, and as long as tax and legal rules require. That is the point of keeping them: a roof we put on in 2009 should still have a file.

A request that never turns into a job stays in our customer system and in the backup sheet. If you want it gone, ask us and we will delete what we are not required to keep.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are checked and scored on our own server before they reach anyone, which keeps the junk out and the real requests visible. Access to the customer system is limited to the people who need it to do your job.

No system is perfect and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can promise is that we do not put your information anywhere it does not need to be.

Your choices

• Stop the texts. Reply STOP to any message, or tell us at any time.
• Stop the emails. Ask us and we will stop.
• See what we hold. Email us and we will tell you what is in your file.
• Correct it. If we have your name, address or number wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
• Have it deleted. Ask, and we will delete what we are not required to keep.

Children

This site is for people who own or manage property. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you think a child has sent us something, tell us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we change this page and the date at the top of it. The date at the top is always the date this policy last changed.
