The Roof View
Answers to your roofing questions:

Annual Roof Maintenance  can help add years of life to any roof by fixing problems before they become a serious roof leak, or even worse, cause damage to the structure of the building.  We offer a comprehensive approach to roof maintenance, with bi-annual inspections, written report and a scheduled maintenance by qualified craftsmen.

The inspection includes checking all your roof areas, flashings, roof edges and roof penetrations.  All areas that appear to have a problem, or have a problem developing will be photographed and the location shown on a drawing delivered with our report.  After all the information is gathered, you will receive a full report showing any problems, and a method to fix these problems.  We will even offer a proposal for these repairs if any are needed.

If you approve these repairs, our qualified craftsmen will make the repairs needed and thus your maintenance program has begun.  With follow up inspections and reports, you will know exactly what your roof condition is.  This plan will aid in roof areas that need to be replaced by providing specification and dollar amounts to replace the roofs that are in need.  With this method, roof replacement won't sneak up on you and bite your budget or profits.

Annual contracts are already in place with Sprint and Gering Public Schools, as well as others.  Just contact us  at (308) 632-6156 or (308) 631-0170 and ask about our preventive maintenance program and we will be more than willing to offer you a free preview of the program.

New Roof Coatings  are making a serge into the roofing market, from both the energy standpoint and the fact that technology has advanced in the area of coating.  They have become a very strong solution for many needs.  Most roof coating systems offer the ability to install new systems over old roofs, metal roofs and single ply membranes, with a 10 year warranty.  If you are interested in a coating system, please contact us.

What type of shingles should I use?

So you need a new roof on your home and you wonder what type of shingles to use.  The roofing market has been over run with many types of new shingles in the last few years.  The best selection may be to look at an impact resistant shingle such as The Malarkey Legacy, which is marketed in this area.  Impact resistant shingles offer a shingle manufactured with asphalt that has been modified with polymers that allow them to resist an impact from a 2" steel ball dropped 10' above the shingle two times in the same spot.  This design will allow the shingles to withstand hail more readily than traditional shingles.

Some insurance companies are allowing premium discounts for this type of shingle, some as much as 20%.  Check with your agent to see if a discount can be allowed.  This technology is not new and many of the commercial roofing products have been using this modification process for over 20 years.

If the time has come for a new roof on your home, contact us and we will help you in the process of deciding.

What should I expect from my roofing project?

Noise and dirt from the workers and the existing roof.  Remember that your roof has been exposed to the elements and dirt is a part of that element and can get entrapped in the roofing material and gets set free when the roof is removed.

The noise is just a part of the process of removal and installation.  With all the modern tools and good roofing practice, some of the noise is eliminated, but after a short time it will end and your new roof will look good.
